Meet the Pack
Koda- The First Born
Koda Bear may have started out as the smallest and quietest of the litter, but that didn't last long. He grew into the first-born role with plenty of personality- protective, stubbon, a little bossy, and always ready to claim the best spot in the house.
Underneath that rough-around-the-edges attitude is a total cuddle bug who still thinks the best place to sleep is on the pillow above my head. Koda is the namesake of Koda Kandles and proof that sometimes the smallest pup leaves the biggest mark. 🐾
Sitka- Daddy's Little Princess
Sitka is the only girl of the litter and Daddy's little princess through and through. She can be shy and quiet inside, but the second Dad gets home- or she gets excited- she has plenty to say. Barking is definitely her love language.
She's sweet, affectionate, and always checking on her brothers, often giving them a good ear cleaning whether they asked for it or not. She loves belly rubs, cuddling with her brothers-especially McKinley- and reminding everyone that the only girl in the pack can still run the show. 🐾
McKinley- The Gentle Shadow
McKinley is a gentle soul who believes there's no such thing as too much togetherness, If you're sitting down, he's ready for lap time. If you're walking through the house, chances are Mac isn't too far behind. And yes, even a trip to the bathroom is better with a loyal companion by your side.
Sweet, affectionate, and always happiest close to his people, McKinley has a quiet way of making sure you never feel alone. He's the pack's lovable shadow with a heart as big as he is. 🐾
Denali-The Independent Soul
Denali has always done things on his own terms. Even before he was born, he was perfectly content staying right where he was- warm, comfortable, and in no hurry to join the chaos waiting outside. That independent streak never left him.
Quiet and gentle, Denali loves his family but is just as happy enjoying a little space of his own. And when he does decide its time to speak, his unmistakable husky howl makes the perfect "good morning" or "welcome home." Denali may not demand the spotlight, but his sweet, steady presence makes him impossible to overlook. 🐾
Nanook- The Energizer
Nanook may be the baby of the litter, but there is nothing little about his personality. Full of energy and always on the move, he approaches life at full speed and keeps everyone around him on their toes. His unique markings make him the perfect mix of Mom and Dad, but his personality is completely his own.
Underneath all that high-strung energy is an incredibly loving boy. He's always checking on the pack, handing out his own version of affection- including plenty of unsolicited ear cleanings-and making sure there's never a dull moment when Nanook is around. 🐾
Baylee-Mama Dog
Baylee is the heart of the pack and a mama through and through. Nurturing, loving, and always keeping an eye on everyone, she takes her job seriously- even when nobody asked for supervision. If something is happening in the house, you can bet Baylee is nearby making sure she knows exactly what's going on.
She's also our champion licker, handing out kisses whether you requested them or not. Sweet, devoted, and forever snoopervising her family. Baylee has a way of taking care of everyone around her while making sure absolutely nothing gets past Mama Dog. 🐾
Yukon- Dad of the Pack
Yukon is Dad of the Pack— a big-hearted goofball who knows when it's time to play and when it's time to keep the pups in line. Those striking blue eyes may have been what won us over at the shelter, but it didn't take long for his goofy personality and loyal heart to make him part of the family.
Whether he's watching from the window, following me from room to room, or making sure the rest of the pack remembers who's Dad, Yukon is never far away. Loyal, watchful, and always by my side, he's the kind of shadow you wouldn't want to lose. 🐾
Wookie- The Cookie
Wookie is the sweet girl with one very important thing on her mind: cookies. If there's a treat involved, you can count on Wookie being nearby and ready to make sure none go to waste. Her love of snacks has earned her, her own special place is the pack- and probably a few extra cookies along the way,
Loveable, loyal, and always ready for treat time, Wookie proves that sometimes the simplest things in life really are the best: family, a comfy place to relax, a stuffed animal, and, of course, cookies.
Kenai- The Lounge Lizard
Kenai is the definition of a lounge lizard. He's perfectly content relaxing the day away- until food is involved. Then somehow the sleepy dog who couldn't be bothered to move is suddenly wide awake, standing right in front of you in seconds.
He's incredibly loving and almost person-like in the way he shows his emotions. His feelings get hurt easily, and he's happiest cuddled up in bed with his people. Sweet, sensitive, laid-back, and always ready for a snack, Kenai is one of the biggest cuddle-bugs in the pack.
And then there's the booty scoot. Because no introduction to Kenai would be complete without mentioning his unforgettable habit of dragging his butt across the floor. Classy? Maybe not. Completely Kenai? Absolutely. 🐾
Forever Part of the Pack 🐾
Treat-The One Who Started It All
Treat was where our story began- the first dog my husband and I had together and the beginning of the pack that would eventually become such a huge part of our lives. An Australian Shepherd with plenty of personality, she helped turn a house into a home long before Koda Kandles was ever a thought,
She loved running to the truck, always ready to go wherever life was taking us next. Treat may no longer be here to make those trips, but she'll always hold a place no other dog can fill: she was the first chapter of our pack and part of everything that came after.
Kaycee-The Copilot
Kaycee was the happiest when she was right where she belonged- beside us. The passenger seat was her spot, and she was always ready to come along for the ride. Whether the destination was somewhere exciting or just another ordinary trip, having Kaycee riding shotgun made it better.
She was a loyal companion and an important part of our family, sharing in so many of the everyday memories you treasure most. The passenger seat may not be hers anymore, but Kaycee will always be one of the original members of our pack-and forever along for the ride in our hearts. 🐾
Polar-The Neighborhood Watch
Polar was our little alarm system. If something moved outside the window, she made sure the entire house know about it. A person, a dog, a leaf- it didn't matter. Polar was on duty.
She was a little ball of energy who loved to fetch, had an obsession to licking my feet, and especially loved being wherever Kaycee was. When playtime got a little too intense, Polar would have the perfect escape plan, behind the couch, where Kaycee couldn't fit. 😂
But Polar became so much more than our tiny watchdog. She became a mama to Baylee and eventually a grandma to the pups, making her an important part of the generations that became our pack.
She may no longer be watching from the window, but we like to think she's still keeping an eye on all of us- and probably barking at a leaf or two along the way, 🐾
Jaxon-Suspiciously Quiet
Jaxon came to us through a neighbor, and what started as a doggy daycare turned into a family. He fit into our pack as though he's always been with us.
Unusually quiet for a husky, we quickly learned that if Jaxon was too quiet, trouble was brewing. Chewed cords, missing food, an exploded pillow-somehow, he'd be sitting innocently in the middle of the evidence.😂 Eventually he found his husky voice and the howl was officially on.
Jaxon loved playing in the snow with Yukon, but beneath all the mischief was an incredibly gentle, loving soul, He brought laughter, chaos, and so much love to our family, and will always be part of our pack,
